# Fees

Every fee you can meet in Enclave: the network fee, protocol fees, provider fees, and the one Enclave fee, with who is paid, how much, and when it is waived.

Every fee appears as a named line on the SureSign review before you approve. Nothing is folded into a single "fee" figure, nothing is discovered afterwards, and nothing is charged for viewing, receiving, unlocking, labelling, declining a review, or a quote that never became a transaction.

There are four kinds, paid to four different parties.

| Kind | Paid to | When |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Network fee** | Kaspa miners | Every Kaspa transaction |
| **Protocol fee** | Set by the protocol: burned as the reveal transaction's fee (KRC-20, KRC-721) or paid to the protocol's fee address (KNS, INS) | Deploying and minting tokens and collections; registering names |
| **Provider fee** | The provider (Kat Bridge, Zealous Swap, Lynx, Kaskad; later Peer, Halliday, ChangeNOW, and the mailbox/Hyperlane path on Deposit) | Bridges, swaps, some Earn actions, and partner onboarding rails, under the provider's rules |
| **Enclave fee** | Enclave | Once, on the action that opens a position or a covenant |

## Network fee

Kaspa charges by **mass**, a measure that combines the transaction's size with the number and value of its inputs and outputs (KIP-9). A typical KAS send costs a fraction of a cent. SureSign computes the mass of the exact transaction it built and pays the network minimum; the review shows the fee and the mass under Technical details.

On Transfer you may raise the fee above the minimum with **Fee → Custom**, which sets a floor in KAS. There is rarely a reason to: Kaspa blocks are frequent and the network is seldom congested.

Two consequences of the mass rule are worth knowing. Very small outputs cost more than their size suggests, so SureSign avoids creating dust and refuses plans that would. And a transaction that carries an Igra payload needs a small self-payment (0.2 KAS, back to you) to stay within relay limits when it has no other output of its own; when an Enclave fee is present, that output serves the purpose instead and the self-payment is skipped.

## Protocol fees

Fixed by the protocols and named on the review. KRC-20 and KRC-721 fees are paid as the fee of the reveal transaction, as those protocols require; KNS and INS fees go to each protocol's published fee address or contract. Enclave adds nothing to any of them.

| Action | Fee |
| ----------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Deploy a KRC-20 token | 1,000 KAS |
| Mint a KRC-20 token | 1 KAS per mint |
| Deploy a KRC-721 collection | 1,000 KAS, plus 10 KAS per preminted item |
| Mint a KRC-721 collectible | 10 KAS |
| Register a KNS name | 4,200 KAS (1–2 characters) · 2,100 KAS (3) · 525 KAS (4) · 35 KAS (5 or more) |
| Inscribe a KNS text record | 1 KAS |
| Register or renew an INS name | Read from the INS controller contract and shown before you plan |

Transferring a token, a collectible, or a name you already hold carries no protocol fee.

## Provider fees

Providers set their own fees; SureSign names each one on the review as a separate line and payee.

| Provider | Fee |

| **Kat Bridge**, KAS → iKAS | 1 KAS on the Kaspa side. Minimum bridge 10 KAS. |
| **Kat Bridge**, iKAS → KAS | A percentage with a minimum floor, taken in iKAS by the bridge contract. |
| **Kat Bridge**, token bridge (KRC-20 → Igra) | 10 KAS on the Kaspa side. The return direction pays the contract's burn fee in iKAS. |
| **Zealous Swap** | The pool's trading fee, quoted with the route and paid to liquidity providers. Wrapping iKAS to WiKAS costs nothing. |
| **Lynx** | A performance fee on rewards at harvest, inside the protocol. |
| **Kaskad** | Interest and protocol parameters, inside the protocol. |
| **Igra gas** | Paid in iKAS from your Igra balance. If iKAS and WiKAS cannot cover the package, a **Bridge** step is added at the front, sized to the shortfall and never below 10 KAS. That KAS becomes iKAS in your balance; it is not a fee. Enclave charges exactly **1 KAS** for bundling that step, shown as its own *Enclave* line. |

## The Enclave fee

Enclave charges one fee for the software: about **US$0.20**, paid in KAS on Kaspa, as its own output on the transaction you are already signing. It appears on the review as **Enclave fee**, with the exact KAS.

**When it applies.** Once, on the action that opens something: the economic step of an Exchange job (the swap, bridge, or deposit), entering an Earn position (stake, supply, deposit), and creating a vault or an escrow deal. Never on a Transfer of anything you already hold, never on an approval, wrap or unwrap step, never on withdrawing, unstaking, claiming, releasing, refunding, or refreshing, never on receiving KAS or Igra USDC (including a future Peer, Halliday, or ChangeNOW Deposit rail, whose only fees are those providers' plus any named mailbox/path cut), and never on any party who did not open the covenant. Adding KAS to a vault you already hold is not a new vault and carries no fee.

**How the amount is set.** The US$0.20 target is converted to KAS at planning time using a public price, then clamped by SureSign to between **1 KAS and 20 KAS**. If no price is available, the fee is **10 KAS**. The KAS amount on the review is the truth; the dollar figure is a label.

**The bundled bridge.** When SureSign adds a Bridge step in front of an Igra action, that step pays Enclave a flat **1 KAS**, not the US$0.20 fee. It appears as *Enclave · 1 KAS · for bundling the bridge*, beside the *Bridged to Igra* line. Bridging on its own through Exchange uses the KAT route and shows that route's own fee lines.

**Once per review.** Enclave never charges twice on one approval. When the bundled bridge pays its 1 KAS, the action's own Enclave fee — a swap's, a stake's — is waived in that same review and the line says so: *the Exchange fee is waived*.

**It is not refundable.** The fee is part of a transaction the network confirms. A later refund, unwind, or reclaim of the position does not return it.

**Waiver.** Enclave waives its fee, and Kat Bridge waives its Kaspa-side fee, when the Kaspa address paying for the transaction holds a **KATCLAIM** collectible numbered **736 to 843**. Enclave checks the KRC-721 indexer for that address and, when it applies, shows one line: *Bridge fee waived · KATCLAIM #812 held*. If the indexer cannot answer, the fee is charged; no fee is ever waived on a guess. Fees enforced by Igra contracts (the iKAS exit fee, burn fees) are never waived.

## Reading fees on the review

Every payee is a row under **Outputs**: the recipient, your change (*Back to you*), each fee by name. **Leaves this wallet** is the sum that actually leaves your control. If a review shows a fee you do not recognize, decline it and read this page again; a fee that is not on the review does not exist.
