# Enclave

Documentation for Enclave, the self-custodial Kaspa wallet, and SureSign, the signing kernel that powers it.

Enclave is a self-custodial wallet for the Kaspa network and the Igra EVM Layer, delivered as a browser extension. Every transaction is constructed, explained, and signed on your own device by **SureSign**, a Rust signing kernel that reads each transaction back to you in plain language before anything is signed. Enclave has no servers, no accounts, and no custody of anything you own.

**Know what you sign.** Nothing leaves your wallet until you have read a SureSign review to the end and approved it. What you approve is cryptographically bound to what is signed. Anything SureSign cannot fully understand is refused, never guessed.

## What Enclave does

* **Kaspa, natively.** Send and receive KAS, hold KRC-20 tokens, KRC-721 collectibles, and KNS names. Manage individual Notes (UTXOs) with labels, freezing, and coin control.
* **Igra, from the same account.** Move value to and from Igra, Kaspa's EVM Layer, hold iKAS and ERC-20 tokens and ERC-721 collectibles, and connect to Igra dApps. Every Igra action is carried inside a Kaspa transaction you review.
* **Exchange and Earn.** Swap and bridge through named providers, and put tokens to work in named staking and lending desks. Each provider is shown by name, with its own fees, on the review.
* **Vaults.** Lock KAS until a date you choose, or set up an Inheritance or Last Will vault so the people you name can claim if you go silent. Vaults are Kaspa covenants, visible on the explorer.
* **Escrow and the Deal Desk.** Run an arbitrated escrow with a counterparty, and coordinate it through sealed, on-chain messages in a private Deal Room.
* **Two views, one wallet.** The Compact popup and side panel are built for quick action; Studio is a full-page desk with the complete record.

## In brief

* **Software, not a service.** Enclave is a program you run. The Developer never holds, transmits, exchanges, or controls any asset and cannot reverse, freeze, or recover a transaction or a wallet.
* **Self-custody.** Your recovery phrase and private keys are generated and encrypted on your device. Nobody else has them, including the Developer. Lose the recovery phrase and no one can restore the wallet.
* **Third parties are third parties.** Kat Bridge, Zealous Swap, Kaskad, Lynx, Igra, KatPool, and every node and indexer the software reads from are operated by others, under their own terms, with their own support.
* **One disclosed fee.** On certain actions Enclave adds a small, non-refundable fee (about US$0.20 in KAS) to the transaction you are already signing. It appears as a named line, *Enclave fee*, on the SureSign review before you authorize anything. See [Fees](/argon-docs/using-enclave/fees.md).
* **No telemetry.** Enclave does not record clicks, screen contents, balances, or activity. There is nothing to turn on.
